Wednesday, 9 Sha‘ban 1447 AH (corresponding to 8 Dalwa 1404 SH)

With the aim of performing the Hajj obligation for the year 1447 AH (corresponding to 1405 SH), the Ministry of MOHIA today carried out the Hajj lottery process among newly registered applicants in the capital Kabul and in all provinces of the country. The process was conducted in the presence of representatives of relevant institutions and through a series of special ceremonies.

In central Kabul, the Hajj lottery process was held at the Central Zone Pilgrims’ Complex, attended by the respected Professional Deputy Minister of MOHIA, Mawlawi Mohammad Hamid Haseeb, central directors, and members of the Hajj Operational Executive Committee.

During the gathering, the Professional Deputy Minister spoke about the procedure and transparency of the process. He stated that this year the registration process for newly registered applicants began on the 24th of Jadi and concluded on the 4th of Dalwa in Kabul and all provinces. Including the districts of Kabul city, a total of ninety-eight thousand seven hundred and seventy-two (98,772) new applicants across the country registered to perform Hajj.

He further added that today, Wednesday, the lottery among these applicants was conducted simultaneously across the country, in accordance with established principles, under the supervision and monitoring of the directorates of Guidance, Hajj and Endowments and the assigned committees of the relevant bodies.
