Sheikh al-Hadith Dr Noor Muhammad Saqib, the Minister of MOHIA, today met with a delegation led by Mufti Nooruddin Khalq Nazar, the head of the Muslim Affairs Department of Uzbekistan, in his office.

At the beginning of this meeting, the Minister welcomed the guests and said, "I am pleased to host a delegation of religious scholars from our friendly neighboring country, Uzbekistan."

Mr. Saqib stated that the arrival of scholars and high-ranking officials from Uzbekistan in Kabul signifies interaction and cooperation, good neighborliness, good intentions, and mutual common interests with the Islamic Emirate and the people of Afghanistan.

He mentioned that during our official visit to Uzbekistan some time ago, we had a very pleasant experience and good memories from that trip.

The Minister of MOHIA added that the visit of Uzbek scholars allows us to establish new collaborations and relationships based on shared beliefs, and through this visit, we can better understand each other's culture, history, and values.

He further remarked that we urge the people of the world, especially those from Islamic countries, to travel to Afghanistan and observe the situation closely.

Through close visits and exchanges, a better picture of the realities and positive advancements in Afghanistan under the governance of the Islamic Emirate can be presented to the global community, and new avenues for cooperation and coordination among Islamic countries can be identified.

Then Mufti Sheikh Nooruddin Khalq Nazar, the head of the Muslim Affairs Department of Uzbekistan, spoke and said: "I sincerely thank Sheikh al-Hadith Chief Researcher Dr. Noor Muhammad Saqib for his official invitation; this visit is a valuable opportunity to strengthen our shared beliefs and values, and I am happy to be alongside you."

He stated that Uzbekistan and Afghanistan are two Islamic neighboring countries with many similarities in religious, cultural, and spiritual matters, and such visits are essential for strengthening and developing our relations.

It is worth mentioning that the distinguished delegation of scholars from Uzbekistan will also visit historical, sacred, and famous sites in Afghanistan in addition to meeting with high-ranking officials of the Islamic Emirate and esteemed scholars.
