"The Ministry of MOHIA shared its one- year activities with the nation

Today, the Ministry of MOHIA through a session at the Government Information and Media Center, shared its achievements of the past year with the people In a press conference held at the government media center. Sheikh al-Hadith Maulawi Zar Mohammad Haqani, the Deputy Minister of MOHIA stated that the ministry is a reputable religious institution at the national level within the structure of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, and over the past year, it has accomplished important and fundamental activities through four programs: (Guidance program, Hajj program, Endowments program, and Financial and Administrative program). Furthermore, Maulawi Haqani added that issuing fatwas, writing books, distributing Friday sermon texts, publishing scholarly articles, organizing and conducting training sessions and workshops, managing and supervising mosques and Husseiniyahs, managing and coordinating Khanqahs, publishing and distributing pamphlets, conducting research and translation on various scientific topics, and organizing important programs of the Ministry of MOHIA during the blessed month of Ramadan, as well as ensuring the integration of schools and Darul Huffaz (Quran memorization centers), are among the activities performed by the ministry during the past year. Maulawi Haqani also mentioned that he had participated in a major conference and exhibition named "Khatamah Masak" in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, organized by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah. During the conference, he had the opportunity to meet and hold discussions with Dr. Ali Erbas, the President of Religious Affairs of Turkey, and Dr. Mohammed bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, the Secretary-General of the Muslim World League in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. Regarding accountability, Mr. Haqani mentioned that, under the Ministry of MOHIA translation and interpretation courses on the Noble Quran were launched from the first of Sha'ban to the 25th of the blessed month of Ramadan, in 212 military centers across the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, conducted by scholars and respected religious leaders. Additionally, for the first time, the ministry organized a unified sermon that followed the guidelines, norms, and etiquettes of sermons, which was approved and distributed to imams and preachers in central and provincial centers. Mr. Haqani further stated that in the year 1401 AH (1390 SH), a total of 139,020,616 Afghanis in endowments income was collected, indicating an increase of 54% compared to the previous year. He also added that the Ministry of MOHIA has successfully accomplished many projects and programs to serve the people of Afghanistan, promoting religious guidance and facilitating pilgrimage and endowment-related matters.
