Sunday, 10th of Sha'ban 1446 AH (21st of Dalwa, 1403 AH)

Sheikh al-Hadith, Dr. Noor Mohammad Saqib, Minister of MOHIA, today signed a roundtrip agreement for 30,000 Hajj pilgrims traveling to Saudi Arabia for the year 1446 AH with officials from Ariana Afghan Airlines and Kam Air Airlines.

This meeting, chaired by the Minister of MOHIA, was attended by the deputy of the Ministry, heads of the Ministry’s departments, esteemed scholars, Mawlavi Abdul Wali Siddiqi, head of Ariana Afghan Airlines, Haji Atilla Kamgar, deputy of Kam Air Airlines, and technical and professional officials from the mentioned airlines.

In the meeting, the Minister of MOHIA stated: "Thanks to God, this year’s religious and national Hajj process, like previous years, is progressing well under the Ministry of MOHIA."

He further added, "Both domestic airlines wish to advance this Hajj process with religious and national spirit to fulfill their responsibilities in this religious and national task as best as possible."

Additionally, the Minister of MOHIA said, "The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is determined to achieve self-sufficiency in various fields, and just as the domestic airlines are handling the transportation of Hajj pilgrims, efforts are being made in other sectors towards self-reliance. We hope, just like previous years, greater efforts will be made this year to ensure pilgrims are transferred according to an organized schedule and then returned to the country."

Following this, officials from Ariana Afghan and Kam Air Airlines praised the organized programs of the Ministry of MOHIA and pledged to provide the best possible services to the pilgrims. They said they would provide additional facilities with the resources and capacity available and would work to manage the transportation of pilgrims both inside and outside the country in the best possible way, in coordination with the Ministry of MOHIA. They also mentioned that they will provide the necessary facilities for pilgrims from four flight zones within the country and from two airports in Saudi Arabia (Medina and Jeddah).

They stated, "The transportation of pilgrims is not a business; rather, we consider it a religious and national duty, and we are fully prepared technically and operationally to carry it out."

The meeting concluded with a prayer for success.
