MOHIA Announcement
The process of refunding surplus funds to last year’s pilgrims by the Ministry of MOHIA is nearing completion.
In order to protect the rights of pilgrims and ensure the full return of their rightful funds, the Ministry began the process of refunding excess amounts from the Hajj expenses of the 1446 AH pilgrims approximately three months ago.
This process was officially announced and launched on the 10th of Safar 1447 AH by the Minister of MOHIA, Dr. Noor Mohammad Saqib. According to this process, each pilgrim is to receive a refund of 3,936 Afghanis.
As of last Thursday (8th of Jumada al-Awwal 1447 AH, corresponding to 8 Aqrab 1404 SH), approximately 79% of last year’s pilgrims have received their refunds. Specifically, 22,883 pilgrims across the capital and all provinces have been refunded a total amount of 90,067,488 Afghanis in surplus Hajj costs.
The Ministry of MOHIA believes that serving the pilgrims is not only an administrative duty but also a religious responsibility and moral obligation. Based on this, the Ministry continues the refund process with the aim of fully safeguarding the rights and trusts of the pilgrims.
The Ministry again calls on those pilgrims who have not yet claimed their refunds to visit the Hajj Complex in the capital or their provincial Departments of Guidance, Hajj and Religious Affairs to receive their remaining funds.
