The process of transferring 15,000 Afghan pilgrims, who had previously arrived at Jeddah Airport from four flight zones in Afghanistan, officially began today, moving them from Mecca to Medina after completing the Hajj rituals.

In Mecca, all necessary services were provided to the Afghan pilgrims by the Ministry of MOHIA allowing them to perform their Hajj rites smoothly. Praise be to Allah, today the first caravan of Afghan pilgrims, along with their instructors, reached Medina via well-equipped buses.

Upon arrival in Medina, these Afghan pilgrims were accommodated near Al-Masjid an-Nabawi (the Prophet’s Mosque) by the Taskeen Committee in nearby residential buildings.

It is worth mentioning that this transfer process from Mecca to Medina will continue in an organized manner. The pilgrims will stay for eight days and nights, during which they will perform 40 prayers at the Prophet’s Mosque, visit the sacred Rawdah of the Prophet Muhammad and other holy sites, and then, according to a scheduled plan, be returned to Afghanistan via Medina’s airport.
